STEPS to obtaining IRC software for the MAC.

1. Open up your Web Brower. (if you are reading this from my homepage, you are all ready to go to step 2.

2. Open the location Ballsy's IRC Realm It will open to the homepage with all sorts of links regarding IRC.

3. Click on the link marked "IRC Clients" on the toolbar. On the page you will see several listings..the first being Windows, the second is Unix..and the third is Macintosh!

4. Click on the word "here" for the FTP site where you can find the latest versions of IRCle. You will then be connected to a list of folders with a link titled "up to higher level directory" at the top of the list of all of the folders.

5. Click on the link marked ircle2.6a11.sit.bin The date of last update is Nov 22, 1996. It will automatically download the software and once downloaded will automatically de-code the binhex and automatically unstuff the program.

That's it, it was ready to use. All you have to do now is play around with the preferences to choose the right server. Then you just put your nickname and real name in and go. I hope this all works well for folks, as I don't have or know anyone who does have a MAC, so I can't test this procedure out.
